Dr. Hari Amarnath
Dr. Amarnath started his undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta before moving on to the University of Waterloo to do his optometry training. Upon graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1999, Dr. Amarnath received the Dr. Michael Gutwein Award for combining academic achievement with community service. His ongoing training included an internship at the Omni Eye Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked with top retinal, glaucoma and cataract specialists.
After practicing for two years in a large group practice in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Amarnath took the opportunity to work for one year in a busy ophthalmology clinic in Ottawa, Ontario where he furthered his training in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Amarnath prides himself in believing that patient care comes first. He was selected to participate in "Providing Legendary Patient Care", an extensive workshop conducted by the Management & Business Academy. He has also participated in many volunteer causes, including performing free eye exams in Mexico as part of the I-Care International organization and conducting lectures and presentations on eye care in the community, as well as providing on-site nursing home care.
Dr. Amarnath, in partnership with Dr. Peacock, has owned and practiced at the New Tecumseth Optometry Clinic in Alliston since 2002. His practice interests include glaucoma, pediatric care and specialty contact lenses.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Amarnath enjoys outdoor activities and sports with his wife and two children.

Dr. John Peacock
Prior to settling in New Tecumseth, Dr. Peacock began his undergraduate training in London and Calgary. He completed his optometry training at the University of Waterloo in 1999. An internship took Dr. Peacock to Phoenix, Arizona where he practiced alongside cataract and laser specialists.
Dr. Peacock incorporated his passion for travel and learning by spending two summers studying Spanish and volunteering in a state-run eye care hospital in central Mexico as part of I-Care International. With this unique combination, the School of Optometry in Waterloo sent him to Santiago, Chile in 1998 to instruct optometry courses in Spanish.
After being mentored in one of British Columbia's most successful optometric clinics, Dr. Peacock, in partnership with Dr. Amarnath, purchased and began practicing at the New Tecumseth Optometry Clinic in Alliston in 2002. In 2009, Dr. Peacock was chosen along with a select group of Canadian Optometrists to participate in "Providing Legendary Patient Care", an extensive workshop conducted by the Management & Business Academy.
Dr. Peacock values the personalized eye care he is able to offer his patients, and enjoys raising his family in the community of New Tecumseth.

Dr. Robert MacAlpine
Dr. MacAlpine graduated from Queen’s University, and attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. He graduated in 1999 with honours and was recipient of the Alcon Award for Most Outstanding Contact Lens Clinician. His internships included several Veteran Affairs Hospitals in the greater Boston area as well as the Barnet Dulaney Cataract and LASIK Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. MacAlpine has 12 years experience of treating and prescribing medication for eye disease, a privilege that Ontario Optometrists were recently permitted in 2011. He established a successful practice and optical store in the States for ten years.
Robert is thrilled to return to his native Ontario to raise his two daughters, Deanna and Ella with his wife Amy. He enjoys playing hockey and being active with his family.
